​The Fayetteville Chess Society Library is a curated collection of chess books built for one purpose: helping players improve.

From tactics and endgames to strategy and master games, these are the same resources serious players use to get better—not just play more.

Whether you're new or competing in tournaments, this library gives you access to real training tools without needing to build your own collection.

​How it works

  • Available to FCS Members only
  • Browse the library online and request a book
  • 1 book per checkout
  • Loan period: 1-2 weeks
  • Security deposit required per book (refunded upon return or held for continuous checkout)
  • Return books at any official FCS event
Books must be checked out before leaving. Lost or damaged books must be replaced.

Fayetteville Chess Society (FCS) is a community chess club serving the greater Fayetteville, NC area. We organize weekly over-the-board chess events, casual meetups, blitz tournaments, and educational sessions.
