Coaches & InstructorsThis role is for individuals with a solid understanding of chess fundamentals and the ability to communicate ideas clearly. Coaching requires structure, patience, and the ability to guide players through positions—not just play strong moves.

TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS (TDs)This role is for individuals who can run organized, on-time events without supervision. You should understand tournament flow, be comfortable making decisions, and maintain control of the playing environment.
Expectations:
Note This role requires the ability to run events independently and maintain control of tournament flow. Compensation: $40–$80 per event depending on role Takes less than 2 mins

EVENT VOLUNTEERSThis role is for reliable individuals who can assist with event operations and follow direction. Tasks are straightforward, but require consistency and attention to detail.
Expectations:
Note Reliability and consistency are required this role depends on showing up and staying engaged. Compensation: Free event entry and occasional stipends depending on the event. Takes less than 2 mins

We organize weekly over-the-board chess events, casual meetups, blitz tournaments, and educational sessions.
